Love being together
We were finishing with our work for the day and waited for the kids to finished playing in the playground. Then we started talking about the kids, values that kids mostly forgot. We just talk about anything, for the sake of conversation. Then we became serious on family matters.
I have been helping in the school for a few months and she is a volunteer as an aid. We help each other during school but never really get the chance to know each other. There was no time to talk, both of us were busy except for today, we decided we can stay a little longer and talk.
She look straight into my eye, holding her tears and ask me how can she get her husband to go with her to church? My thoughts were racing like fire, because I am in that same situation. My husband stopped going to church with me for the reason that he is busy. How can I? She ask me again. Calmly, I told her: You can't do that if he doesn't want to go with you. You have to remember that our thoughts are not God's thoughts. Our plans are not His plan at times. All you have to do is keep the faith of believing that one day it will be done in His time and in His will.
With that hope, she relaxed and believed that one day, it will be done. She kept in her heart the love for her husband, now a love with peace in her heart. With this new found love with peace, it will help her understand him even if she wants him to be with her in the church and he won't be there. She will keep believing that Christ is suffice to keep her faith - love with peace in her heart.
