Litany of Healing

Love is in the air...:
Faith
Category: It's all about love
This is one of my favorites, humbling and yet peaceful. Every time I read this full page litany of healing, it reminds me of how human I am, weak and easy to do wrong. In mind, in deed and actions that shows through the words I speak everyday, in everyday struggle and victory as well. This prayer I have sent to friends who love it and some hate it because it is true.
Lifting up all our sorrows, surrendering all of it and let the powerful God take charge of everything...leaving no fear and worries but trust in the omnipotent one, the omniscient one. The one and only who will take away all our pains and sorrows. The one who can give peace when we feel shaky with worry, when things go wrong, and when we are confused. Letting go of everything and hold on to the faith of believing the unknown will be the answer, the answer that is yet to come.
The good thing is - forgiveness is always ready, I only have to say sorry.
For the times as children we were abusedÃÂ Lord, lift the burden of this memory.
For the times we were accused of things unjustly. Lord, lift the burden of this memory.
For the times we made mistakes that others couldnÃÂt overlook,
Lord, lift the burden of this memory.
For the times we accepted blame and shame for things we could not control,
For the times we have not accepted that God has forgiven us,
Lord, lift the burden of this memory.
For the times we reached out to others and were rejected,
Lord, lift the burden of this memory.
For the times we allowed the past to weigh us down with depression,
Lord, lift the burden of this memory.
For the times we allowed ourselves to be used by others,
Lord, lift the burden of this memory.
For the times we have allowed fear to control us.
Lord, lift the burden of this memory.
For the times we have experience separation from loved ones through abandonment or divorce. Lord, lift the burden of this memory.
For the times we have experienced the wrenching pain of losing a loved one in death. Lord, lift the burden of this memory.
For those who have betrayed us. Father, Forgive them
For those who have let us down. Father, Forgive them
For those who have been indifferent to us. Father, Forgive them
For those who have crippled our lived by trying to control us. Father, Forgive them
For those who have doubted us. Father, Forgive them
For those who have accused us. Father, Forgive them
For those who have preferred others to us. Father, Forgive them
For those who have hurt us. Father, Forgive them
For those who have denied us. Father, Forgive them
For those who have walked away from us. Father, Forgive them
For my own self-pity, Father, Forgive me
For my lukewarm attitude, Father, Forgive me
For those times of despair and distrust, Father, Forgive me
For my refusal to be hugged, Father, Forgive me
For my disbelief in your love, Father, Forgive me
For my searching everywhere but in your heart, Father, Forgive me
For apologies frozen on my lips, Father, Forgive me
For my unjust criticism of others, Father, Forgive me
For my constant complaint, Father, Forgive me
For my attempts to control others, Father, Forgive me
For my lack of surrender to you, Father, Forgive me
For my constant negativity, Father, Forgive me
For my useless worry, Father, Forgive me
For the times I have not allowed you to be God, Father, Forgive me
Lord, there are so many things I need to let go of, please help me put my trust in you and let go of the burdens I carry. May I always remember that the only burden I should take on in my life is the one you place on my shoulder ÃÂ the burden of love and mercy, Amen.
