The Chat

The internet is the greatest friend finding and dating medium in history. You can perve at people from all over the world at the click of a mouse. Which means, yes, they can perve on you too. And it’s becoming an addiction.
I admit, I am now officially obsessed with checking out profiles over the net! I recently added a chat / dating application on Facebook and when I log in each day I have on average 30 alerts. And yes, it makes me feel so much better about myself. The majority of the people sending me flirts are quite repulsive and totally not my type, but there are a few hotties and I’m not afraid to act. And I can simply choose to ignore the ones I am not interested in. It's really pure boredom that I do it, but who doesn't like a good look around?!
To those that don’t know me, you are going hear a lot about my addiction to long haired males. It’s true. I’m completely obsessed with long hair. So I browse the chat profiles and look for long hairs. The fact I know I’m never going to actually meet these people doesn’t bother me in the slightest at this point. It’s all about the eye candy and making new friends. New, hot friends!
Yes, I’m on the prowl and I am loving it! I don’t ever remember having so much attention, and I am thriving on it! I think it’s the first time in my life I’ve actually been pleased with me; what I look like and who I am. Let me put it this way, I am 31 and I have been inundated with 20 somethings trying to pick me up! It's definitely different.
I was in an eight year relationship that went belly up, then straight into another which was the craziest rollercoaster ride I’ve ever been on and it did not end very well at all. So much so, it opened my eyes to a world I had only ever dreamed about. A world where I could go out and have fun; without a care, without a worry.
So gathering my thoughts and trying to regroup from my tangent, I go back to the internet and my first discussion for Love Crisis.
I remember when I first started using the net, and first added a chat program ( I think it was ICQ) and was recalling the feelings of paranoia about meeting people via the net. When as it turned out, it was all very cool and I met quite a few awesome people from the other side of the world! Unfortunately, at some point my computer died and I lost everything and ultimately all contact with these people. But this memory sent a spark and made me wonder what others first experiences were like.
So, tell me about the very first time you went onto the internet, added a chat application and spoke to a stranger for the first time.
Are you still friends with them? Did you end up dating them? Were they complete freaks? Did it all go horribly wrong? Or what?

I love the net, I don't get too much time to get out, so sometimes a quick perve is close enough.
Hahaha love your blog!

Yeah Facebook apps are quite humorous and strangely open up alot of opportunity for folks of all ages.
It's great when you find people you haven't seen in ages and can then strike up your forgotten friendships.
I've also found those apps are great promotional tools.
Just because it says it's a flirt or dating application, doesn't mean you can't use it for other means which is cool.
I've now made some amazing new friendships and contacts through those apps.
All hail the internet! haha..
